Talk at Mt. Airy Public Library

I will be presenting Crossing Charry Ridge at the Mt. Airy Public Library at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 2 as part of their Teentober program aimed at promoting reading among young adults.

If you’re in the Mt. Airy vicinity then, please come by. I’d love to meet you!

Update (photo below): Suzann during her first “book talk.” Great thanks to the staff at the Mt Airy Public Library for their hospitality at hosting this event!

Crossing Charry Ridge in the Public Library

Crossing Charry Ridge on shelves of the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library in Floyd

I am delighted to announce that copies of Crossing Charry Ridge are now available at two branches of the Montgomery Floyd Regional Library: at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library in Floyd and at the main library in Christiansburg. Ebook copies are also available via Hoopla through the system.

A recommendation to all who read this book: please take a look at the page in the Web Extras part of this website. You’ll find lots of fun, supplementary information–pictures, music, videos, etc.–which will add to your enjoyment of the book.

The Living Traditions Festival

My book signing at Saturday’s Living Traditions Festival at the Floyd Center for the Arts was an enjoyable experience. The weather was great and we met lots of nice folks–and sold 30 copies of my book! Great thanks to the staff and volunteers at the Floyd Center for the Arts for the opportunity to participate in this festival! The photo on the right includes two of the people who visited our tent, Liz Mears and Nathan Popp.

My next scheduled event will take place on October 2, when I will be doing a “book talk” about Crossing Charry Ridge at the Mt. Airy Public Library in North Carolina.

Meadows of Dan Folk Fair

Saturday, August 19 was the date of the 18th annual Meadows of Dan Folk Fair. I was delighted to participate in this event and to be able to get my book into the hands of some more readers. I had a wonderful time meeting people who came by my tent. Great thanks to Trinity Goad and the other folks who organized this enjoyable community event.

Publication Day!

After nearly two years of research, writing, editing, learning the intricacies of self-publishing, formatting, proofing, etc., my first novel, Crossing Charry Ridge is officially in-print.

You can find a lot about the book in the other pages of this website. I especially recommend the section entitled Web Extras. It has numerous photos, YouTube videos and audio files, and links for further information about various topics and themes mentioned in the book. These pages turn the book into a real multimedia experience!

The Purchase page on this website lists both local stores and online vendors of Crossing Charry Ridge. If you’ve read the book and enjoyed it, posting reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, or elsewhere will help spread the word. Thanks!
